Deshaun Watson has nothing to hang his head about.
The Clemson quarterback did all he could, but ultimately fell just short of capping off a perfect season in Monday's 45-40 loss to Alabama in the national championship game.
The sophomore threw for 405 yards and rushed for 73 more, becoming the first quarterback in FBS history to throw for 4,000 yards and rush for 1,000 in a single season.
Watson carried the Tigers within one touchdown of glory, but he is ready to accomplish more next season.
"I love my teammates, love my brothers, and you'll see us in Tampa next year," Watson told reporters postgame.
Tampa is the site of the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship, and the Tigers, led by Watson, may have a shot at redemption.
